We travel
to La Blanquilla at 12:00m (Local time) in august 04.
The voyage was very nice and quietly on board at T-63
vessel. Few hours from departing all team was agreed to
install one radio station to get the YW5IOTA/MM on air.
The log for this QSO are upload.
We arrived
to the Island at Tuesday early mornig (6:00am local
time) then 18 hours of navegation.
The
first station will be upset at 10:00am, therefore we can
disembark all stuff from the vessel walking a hill under
burning sun about 100m (300ft) to our set point.
Our
first contact was in 17:22utc on August 05.
We
focus all our energies on 17, 20, 30 and 40m bands, to
rise the possibilities to contact us, due the bad
propagation that influence all world.
We went
QRT on Thursday in the dawn, to prepare all stuff to the
land returning on the morning, because our vessel will
departure the next day at midday.
The
PG-410 Vessel "Pigargo" was arrived this day (Thursday)
some hours later.
We
having around 36 hours of operation and about only a
half of that with "good" propagation and pile ups, but
this not stop us to reach 2.5k QSO.
We
depart from La Blanquilla Is. around 12:15m (local
time). Our returning was very shake due to the high wind
present in the Caribbean and all coastal range in
Venezuela that cause a big waves as long our vessel
arrived to port of Guanta 9 hours later. The rest is
history.
Now we
are working to group together all pictures and videos to
show you the best of them. Also we are working to show
the statistics of our operation. Please stay close!.
Thanks
for stay in the pile-ups. Hope to catch you for next
